Motivation Monday: Meal Prep Edition
I have been super busy updating a few things on here and in my business plan! I have a new logo (something that I can actually call my own artwork) and a new header to match. Let me know what you think of them!
I am hopefully doing some sort of photo shoot with my friends this holiday weekend to post more pictures of delicious food and for something new I’ve been working on! WOOP WOOP!
I am so excited to start sharing more of my plant-based fitness lifestyle!!
Hitting the grocery store can be intimidating. Even when I bring a list I always end up with something I wasn’t planning on getting and I have forgotten something I needed! Anyone else do the same?
I love this quote “buy good food, eat good food”
When shopping for wholesome plant-based foods, I usually stick to the basics:
- pasta (I love getting quinoa or lentil pasta)
- almond milk
It’s so simple! If you don’t fill your fridge with all the nasties, then you’re good to go!
Before I hit the grocery store, I think of the meals I want to prep for the week. Some of my staples are tofu fried rice, a pasta variation, and loaded sweet potatoes!
I always grab enough for smoothies for the week, extra ripe bananas, spinach, kale and tons frozen fruits.
Find bananas that are as ripe as you can! Sometime if you ask they have ones they are going to throw out in the back of the store and they will sell them to you cheap!
During the holidays I like to try some new things so this week I bought some extra supplies to try a pumpkin cranberry cookie recipe that I adapted from Forks Over Knives! I can’t wait to share it with you on Food Friday!
