This is something I’ve been wanting to talk about for the longest time, but every time I try to plan to take cute pictures of my drinks they are gone before I know it!
I love going out with friends and I really enjoy myself a good drink or two 😉 Even if you’re all about the holistic or fitness lifestyle, doesn’t mean I can’t let loose every once in moderation!
What Drinks are Vegan Approved?
There are many drinks out there that are vegan approved! Vodka is always vegan!
What to order when you’re out with a group
The Go-To Bar Order
Vodka & soda with lemon/lime: It’s simple and for sure doesn’t contain any nasties. This is my go-to order because I also try to stay away from processed sugary drinks.
The I’m Feeling Fancy Order
Moscow Mule with Pineapple. Still simple ingredients with a little extra flare.
Processed Sugar Note:
Some added sugar out there is processed with bone char (tear) and it can be hard to detect. If you see added sugar in any products, always check to see if they are bone char free on Peta!
3 Homemade Seasonal Cocktails
All of these homemade drinks follow the same instructions: pour over ice & stir!
- 1-2 oz Vodka
- 4-5 oz Sparkling Water (lime flavored)
- Small splash of Cranberry Juice
Gin & Cider
- 1-2 oz Gin
- 3-4 oz Tonic Water
- 1-2 oz This Homemade Cranberry Apple Cider
Spiked Vegan Nog
- 1-2 oz Irish Whiskey (Jameson is vegan)
- 4-5 oz So Delicious Holiday Nog
- Top with Ground Cinnamon & Cinnamon Sticks
Tip to add your own vegan whipped cream: Use a can of coconut milk (full fat) and refrigerate that for a few hours. Them open it and whip using a hand mixer. Add a little coconut sugar to taste and you’re golden!
