Avocado toast is a staple in many diets! When you search Pinterest for Avocado Toast, there are endless recipes and ideas for making your avocado toast better than your last.

These 4 ways to pimp your avocado toast are super simple but totally worth it!

Step 1: Find your favorite sprouted grain bread

Sprouted grain bread is going to be the best thing to enter your life. First of all, it is actually a whole food. It’s not ground or broken down into flour first. They use the whole sprouted grains to create the dough, which takes a lot longer since they are not adding quick rising yeast and refined flour to the mix. This bread is only a few bucks more than your average loaf, but it will be worth it!

Best Brands: There are two different brands you’ll find to be the best ingredients and the best tasting. Ezekiel bread is the most popular and definitely has the best ingredients. They stick to the simple recipe and you can actually taste the whole grains! Silver Hills Bakery is my personal fav. They offer a wide variety of breads that are a little on the softer side.

You can find Ezekiel Bread at most grocery stores or on Amazon Prime. Find Silver Hills (link is for bulk orders) at Target, health food stores, or on Amazon Prime in bulk.

Step 2: Scavenge up some ripe avocados

Obviously… Finding the right avo can literally make or break your avo toast experience. For traditional Hass avocados, find one that has just turned a dark brown color and is still firm to the touch. For green skinned avocados (avocados that don’t change color upon ripening) find one that is an even color of green and still slightly firm.

The easiest way to cut an avocado is to slice the long way around the pit, twist and pull the two side open, and remove the pit by one smooth chop and one twist of the knife. Then scoop out the green goodness with a spoon and spread it onto the toast like butta!

Hass avocados are easy to peel the skin off so they can make amazing avocado roses! I am planning on making a quick video tutorial about these in the future! Link will be here when it’s posted!

Step 3: Top with all the goodies!!

Fruits, seeds, and superfoods! Avocado pairs will with ANYTHING! Due to it’s mild flavor and creamy texture, you can add fruits, veggies, seeds, sauces, etc, etc, etc… Today I have created 4 easy ideas to add to your avocado toast! Some include fruits, veggies, superfoods, and seeds!

  • 4 slices of sprouted grain bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • blueberries
  • strawberry slices
  • cucumber slices
  • pumpkin seeds
  • chia seeds
  • hemp seeds

  1. Toast the bread.

  2. Slice or mash 1/4 of the avocado onto each slice of toast.
