Acai Protein Smoothie
This smoothie is a new combination that I have been LOVING! Recently, I discovered that Trader Joe’s has frozen acai packets, WHAAT? I know, I was blown away!! I’ve been blending them with a fresh banana, frozen cauliflower, peanut butter, Maca powder, some Vanilla Vega Protein & Greens and water. It’s the easiest thing!

Perfect Smoothie Tip
The best smoothie tip I have for you is all in the blender. I was using this basic Ninja blender for the longest time, and I always struggled with getting the greens non chunky! It was the most annoying thing!
When I discovered that they had a Vitamix at my new job a while back, I fell in LOVE!! I was ready to upgrade! I did tons of research and found that the Blendtec and the Vitamix are the two top “high speed” blenders on the market.
I opted for the Blendtec because it uses a dull blade instead of a sharp blade, which will “pulverize” whatever you throw in there! It’s also a smaller model and doesn’t stand so tall in the counter. I was expecting the same quality as the Vitamix, but I actually like the smoothies that come out of my Blendtec more!
Note: If you like to make really thick smoothie bowls and homemade nut butters, you need to get a different jar: this one works great!
Do your research and see which blender is right for you. In the end, opting for either a Vitamix or Blendtec is your best option. Buying refurbished can also save you some cash in the end on a blender that will last you forever!

Acai Protein Smoothie
Simple and creamy acai berry smoothie with added protein from Vega! The best morning kickstart or post workout meal.
- 1 packet Frozen Acai Smoothie Pouch (from Trader Joe’s)
- 1 Banana (ripe)
- 1/2 cup Frozen Cauliflower
- 2 tbsp Peanut Butter (one ingredient)
- 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (Vega Protein & Greens)
- 1 tsp Maca Powder
- 1 cup water
- Add all ingredients to a high speed blender, I love my Blendtec, and blend on high for 30 seconds or press the smoothie button! Add more water if the mixture is too thick.
