I’m about to hit you right in the vibes with this buddhist quote about karma

In order to change your life, you must first change yourself. We can only get out of something what we put into something. So, for best results, give it your all!

I have been down this health and fitness road for many years now. It started in college when I was no longer on the high school gymnastics team. I needed something that was going to keep me feeling fit! So I hit the gym and, like most beginners, started out as a cardio bunny.

I spent my whole hour dedicated to the elliptical, treadmill or the bike and a few minutes on some ab movements. I felt like I was getting in a good workout each session, but noticed that I wasn’t making any progress in my physique.

Then my boyfriend (now husband) asked me to try lifting weights with him! I didn’t want to at first, but after I finally said yes, it changed my life. I felt the burn in every workout and noticed that I can really change myself with weights!

After many months of weight lifting, I hit a plateau. Plateaus come when you need to make a change in your life again. And this change needed to be in my diet. I tried so many different things out there like: high protein & low carb diets, calorie counting, measuring macronutrients, and many different cleanses.

Some things helped and some things did nothing. What I learned is to eat healthy wholesome foods. I cut out most dairy and red meat because I heard of the healthy benefits! After college I started eating less and less meat, and more and more fruits, veggies and grains. I felt amazing!

Then I discovered the plant based diet. I learned about what certain foods do to our bodies. Some foods are harmful to our health and some foods can literally cure diseases! I learned more about how our bodies work and digest foods.

Then, I made the choice to stop eating and limit the foods that are harmful to my body. This meant that I no longer ate products derived from animals; no more meat, fish, eggs or dairy. I limit my alcohol intake and my caffeine intake. I limit oils and opt for cooking with vegetable broth instead!

My goal is to teach you how to be the best and healthiest person you can be. I am promoting plant based foods and daily activity! Eat more veggies and eat more carbs! Filling your body with wholesome plant based foods is the best thing you can do for your health and fitness.
