On to the post!

The Raw til 4 Diet pretty simple! It’s a form of a plant-based vegan diet that is high in carbohydrates coming from fruits.

The Raw til 4 Diet – or “lifestyle” – is quite healthy and can teach us many valuable things! But, it’s not for everyone. Especially since there are so many different climates and cultures around the world.

During the winter time, I LOVE me some warm oats for breakfast. If (or when!) I lived in Hawaii year-round, having smoothies for breakfast and a massive fruit platter for lunch sounds much more appealing!

How to eat Raw ’til 4

Eat raw vegan foods until your last meal of the day.

Don’t consume raw fruits and veggies after you already had a cooked meal – this helps with digestion.

Make 80% of your calories come from carbohydrates, with most of them coming from fresh fruit.

Eat 3 larger meals to keep you full longer, instead of constantly snacking throughout the day.

Try eating “mono-meals” which is just eating one food (usually fruit) until you feel full and satisfied.

Eat more than you’re used to since your body is easily able to digest the foods you are eating. Woohoo!

What you can learn from this diet…

This diet has amazing benefits for the body and can work wonders – always make sure you are also eating in variety! Here are some amazing things to learn from the Raw til 4 Diet.

  1. Eat more raw fruits and veggies
  2. Try to have at least one meal per day fully raw (smoothies, chopped salads, mono meals, etc.)
  3. Eat larger meals and eat less often
  4. Plant-based foods are ALWAYS best

My Personal Views on the Raw ’til 4 Lifestyle

Some of the healthiest and happiest people living today are living this lifestyle and thriving! Personally, I strive to eat lots of raw foods for my first two meals.

I add Vega Protein Powder so my smoothies (which isn’t raw) and usually some legumes or tempeh in my lunch (which also isn’t raw). If I need a snack throughout my day I always turn to fruits and veggies instead of something cooked.

This is what’s been working for my body and I can definitely say that switching to a plant-based diet has been the best decision I’ve ever made!

If diving into that vegan lifestyle isn’t what you’re ready for yet, that’s okay! It took me 6 months to finally commit to veganism – now I can never see myself going back! Everyone’s transition is a little different; some go overnight and others take years!
