On to the post!
Growing up I was never a big reader. I was always slow and stumbled over the words in class when it was my turn to read out loud. I guess I was just never a strong reader as a child and it gave me anxiety about reading even in my adult life.
Recently, I have been able to enjoy reading a lot more. I go at my own pace and am able to be more mindful of the information rather than worrying about what my classmates thought of me. Reading every day is a part of the High Vibe Wellness Project I’m working on for 2018!

Why Read Every Day?
The benefits of reading every day are endless! But here are the top 3 reasons to grab some form of literature every day.
1. Improve Memory & Focus
When you read a book, all of your attention is focused on the words, characters, storyline, and the message they are portraying. Your brain is a powerful muscle that also needs to be worked, so remembering these things is a simple exercise for your brains. Try reading a little in the morning or before work and you find how much more focused you are on your tasks!
2. Reduce Stress
Disconnecting from the world and diving into a book can do wonders for your stress levels. No matter how much stress you are going through, taking time to immerse yourself deep into a story or new ideas will help your escape these stressors. Take time at the end of your day to read as well so your mind can unwind and relax.
In addition to relaxation, diving deep into a book can bring you a sense of tranquility and peace. Reading spiritual or inspirational books can actually help lower your blood sugar and calm you down. Reading in the evening or before bed can help you sleep better at night as well!
Currently, I’m reading two books. One is more of a spiritual/inspirational book and this other is something business related. I love both genres so having two books open at once is great for me to get a mix of wisdom without getting bored of one!
The spiritual/inspirational book I’m reading right now is The Alchemist. It’s one that I’ve been meaning to read for a long time and I finally got my hands on it! It’s AMAZING so far. The whole book is just a giant life metaphor about following your true calling.
The business related book I’m currently reading is called The 4-Hour Work Week. It’s all about how to spend your time wisely and how to make a living through your passion. Get away from the corporate world and spend your life building something amazing that you truly love!
