What I Ate Wednesday & Fitness Tip
It’s Friday Jr.!! I really enjoy Thursdays, I just feel so much more productive than Fridays… This morning I hit the gym bright and early (6:00 am) with Glutes and Shoulders day!! I will post my workout plan in the fitness section when I have it all updated and looking pretty. I love getting my workout done in the morning. It gives me so much more energy throughout the day; plus I can eat more delicious food because my metabolism is already running in high gear!
Fitness Fact: You burn more calories throughout the day when you start with a morning workout. for best results, it should be a fasted workout. Make sure to take BCAAs before/during your morning workout to ensure you are burning fat, and not burning any muscle. More details about BCAAs and other fitness supplements to come!
I never spend more than 50 minutes in the gym during this time so force myself to take less rest time and power through! I also usually switch between heavy weight with low reps, and light weight with high reps every other week. My fitness plan options will go into more detail about this.
Fasted workout: A workout right away in the morning that occurs before eating breakfast.
What I Ate Wednesday – Vegan
Upon waking I was feeling like a needed a little immune booster, so I had a warm glass of water with 1 tbsp of Bragg’s Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 tbsp of pure maple syrup, and a little squeeze of lemon. This really helps when I feel a little icky in the morning or my allergies are bothering me more than usual! It’s also a natural great probiotic elixer!
During my workout I drank my BCAAs, Glutamine, and my Amino Energy pre-workout. Immediately post-workout, I drank one scoop of Vega Sport Performance Protein mixed with about 14 oz of water. More about my fitness supplements later…
Breakfast: Green Smoothie
Lunch: Vegan “Sloppy Joes”
Lunch was a recipe I came up with myself! Find the full recipe here. I had some steamed broccoli and tomato sauce in the fridge and just added some quinoa that was already cooked the day before, and some kale then mixed it all together and threw it on some Ezekiel bread! Here is the finished product!
I was craving something salty in the afternoon so I chowed down on these gems!
Dinner: Tofu Fried Rice
The easiest and best dinner that literally takes me 10 minutes to make from start to finish: Tofu Fried Rice! All you need is some veggies, garlic, ginger, rice, and one packet of tofu! Find my full recipe here.
Dessert – Nicecream
If you don’t know what Nicecream is yet, you are missing out!! It’s literally healthy ice cream made from sweet fruits and whatever else you want to put in! I always keep ripe frozen bananas in my freezer (at home and at my nanny house) just for Nicecream! My all time favorite Nicecream is only 3 ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes to make.
- Frozen Ripe Bananas (however much you want)
- Non-dairy milk, just a splash to keep it thick! (I like cashew milk with Nicecream)
- Jiff Peanut Powder (literally the same thing as PB2 except like $2 less at the grocery store!)
Just throw all those things into a high speed blender and enjoy! Tip: don’t add too much liquid otherwise it will turn out more like a smoothie instead of ice cream. It’s okay if it takes longer to blend, just be patient!
Don’t forget the water!
I always have my Blender Bottle with me wherever I go! It holds about 24 oz of water and I try to drink 3-4 bottles per day!!
